In yet another show of support to Kitchen Arena, YB Tan Kok Wai recently visited Kitchen 360. Better known as the MP for the Cheras constituency to many folks, he was visited the showroom in his capacity as the Special Envoy of Malaysia to the People's Republic of China. It marks the first time that the Malaysia-China Business Council has came to this part of town.
For us, it was no mere visit but an acknowedgement of the role that Kitchen 360 hopes to play in redefining the commercial kitchen industry. With China being an economic powerhouse in this time and day, this could mark the beginning of a regional expansion into the Chinese market.
It is no surprise that as China opened up their market to the outside world, it has greatly impacted the local commercial kitchen market. As a result, many have come to view China as the competition, instead of an ally that could help more local businesses grow.
Together with the Malaysia-China Business Council who was also present, this visit was the perfect opportunity to sit down and discuss a cooperation between all the parties involved.
