PECA Disinfectant Water

PECA Disinfectant Water

When it comes to disinfecting solution, the popular choice is often alcohol-based. But it is not the only choice available in the market.

PECA, a local company has recently came up with an innovative solution (pun intended).

Unlike the other types of disinfectants that has existed prior, namely alcohol-based disinfectant, iodine-based disinfectant and bleach, this solution is highly effective at low concentrations. This means that, less is needed to be used in order for it to effectively disinfect surfaces.

It is made with sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) as its active ingredient. At pH 7, with a solution strength of 100‐200ppm, it is much more effective than bleach which needs to be at a minimum of 1000ppm for it to be used in hospital environments.

Not to mention that it is effective across a broad range of microbes. Whether its bacterial, virus, fungus or the bacillus species, it has shown to perform well against those mentioned.

As a result of better technology, the solution has more benefits too.

It has strong disinfecting & deodorizing power, thanks to its ability to generate electrolyzed oxidizing water. In fact, the electrolyzed oxidizing water is one of the most effective and applied sanitizers in use today.

PECA is also easier and safer to use as in comes in a ready-to-use formula. This solution has demonstrated the ability to generate disinfectant on-site, thus overcoming the defects of the quite unstable Sodium Hypochlorite (Bleach) that has adverse effects on the human body on environment.

It is also a neutral eco-friendly solution, as PECA water is gentler and safer on skin. It does not produce toxic fumes and is much safer than harsh or toxic pre-mixed and bottle sanitizers, traditional bleach or quaternary based chemicals.

In much the same way, it is also environmentally friendly, thereby causing zero pollution. When untreated PECA electrolyzed disinfecting water is discharged into the sewer and septic systems, there is no harmful effects on the environment or system. This is due to the fact that PECA disassociates almost entirely into harmless salt and water.

As such, it is a good option in high risk of infection area such as clinics, hospitals, restaurant, food & beverages production, and so on. It can be easily sprayed onto furnitures, floorings, walls, air-conditioning, to name a few.

To use, spray surfaces or objects from a distance of 20-25cm, and allow it to stay for 10 second before wiping it down to dry. For direct use on skin, spray from a distance of 10-15cm and wipe dry.
