Mooncake Workshop

Mooncake Workshop

In conjunction with the Mid- Autumn Festival, we have partnered up with Bakerlogy Workshop and GoTraz to organize a mooncake-making workshop for their readers.

It was held at Kitchen 360 and was participated by close to 50 individuals with a shared passion in baking.

They were taught on how to make snow skin mooncakes, the more exciting cousin of the traditional baked skin mooncakes.

Unlike conventional mooncakes, such mooncakes do not require baking and require fairly simple ingredients. As it is made of either glutinous rice flour, rice flour or wheat starch, the skin has a pleasant texture that is slightly chewy, sticky and springy.

The participants were each given two pieces of mooncakes to take home for them to enjoy.

Overall, it was a fun hands-on experience in making mooncakes from scratch instead of buying them from the malls.
