How we calculate this

Annual running cost = (rated power in watts / 1000) x usage factor x hours/day x days/year x electricity rate. Monthly = annual / 12.

The usage factor accounts for duty cycling - e.g. a fridge compressor does not run at full draw continuously. Electricity rate default: RM 0.435/kWh, Tariff B small commercial (TNB RP4). Verify the current rate at mytnb.com.my/tariff.
